Valorant is a precise, tactical shooter where crisp aim wins rounds. Sensitivity is the setting that decides whether your crosshair lands on the head or flies past it. Most strong players use a low, controlled sensitivity, and you can copy the range as a starting point.

Understanding eDPI in Valorant

eDPI combines your mouse DPI and in-game sensitivity into one comparable number. It is the honest way to compare settings, because two players with different DPI can aim identically if their eDPI matches.

Note: eDPI equals mouse DPI multiplied by in-game sensitivity. Example: 800 DPI and 0.35 sensitivity equals 280 eDPI.

Best DPI and sensitivity

Set your mouse to 800 DPI, then adjust the in-game sensitivity to reach your target eDPI. Valorant players tend to run lower than CS2 players because the game rewards precise standing shots over fast flicks.

PlaystyleeDPI rangeExample at 800 DPI
Low and precise (snipers, anchors)180 to 2600.22 to 0.32 sens
Balanced (most players)260 to 3400.32 to 0.42 sens
High (entry fraggers)340 to 4200.42 to 0.52 sens

How to find your perfect sens

  1. Set your mouse to 800 DPI.
  2. Start at 0.35 in-game sensitivity, which is 280 eDPI.
  3. Warm up in the Range and practise flicking to bot heads.

Frequently asked questions

What sensitivity do Valorant pros use?

Most professionals sit between roughly 200 and 350 eDPI on 800 DPI, which is a low, controlled sensitivity. It suits the precise, standing-shot gunplay of Valorant.

What DPI is best for Valorant?

800 DPI is the most common choice. It keeps the mouse sensor accurate, and you tune the final feel with in-game sensitivity rather than raising DPI.

  • Lower the sens if you consistently overshoot, raise it if you cannot turn onto wide targets.
  • Once you can hold a steady crosshair and still turn comfortably, lock it in.
  • Tip: Valorant rewards holding still and clicking. If your crosshair drifts while you wait for enemies, your sensitivity is probably a little too high.
